Hello pro football fans from our “Rockstar” studio this is our NFL Injury Report for the sports betting public.
Indianapolis Colts starting quarterback Peyton Manning had surgery on July 14th to remove an infected bursa sac on his left knee. The Indianapolis Star reports that the Colts starter has had no setbacks during his rehab. Doctors expect Manning to be ready in 6 weeks following his surgery. The Colts are hoping that Manning can play 3 quarters in their final preseason game on August 28th against Cincinnati.
Colts starting wide receiver Marvin Harrison missed 11 regular season games last year due to an injured left knee. Harrison is recovering from knee surgery on both of his knees during the off season. Harrison had old scar tissue removed from his right knee. Head coach Tony Dungy reported that Harrison is right on schedule and he may see action in week 3 or 4 of the preseason.
San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates told the San Diego Union Tribune that his rehab on his inured left big toe is going better than expected. Gates’ target date of return is the teams season opener Sunday September 7th against Carolina. The Charger tight end also was quoted as saying he will only play if his toe is 100%.
